"Team has made me work hard, but things like that that I need to I can show my potential is in fact," Rio said about the test at the Silverstone Circuit.
He was finish third of four drivers who perform tests on the first day. Meanwhile, in the second test that goes with the configuration of the international circuit - a circuit distance is shorter than that used for F1 - he got the best time to carve a record 50.405 seconds.
Rio needs a distance of 300 miles as one of the super license requirement for the Formula 1 (driver's license to compete in F1) managed to achieve it. Team has confirmed this.
Rio and Marussia Virgin team principal, John Booth, satisfied with the results of the second day of testing. "Each lap Rio making good progress, no mistake, good communication with team engineer, improving every lap, a good record. And finally to complete the quota of 300 miles to be able to apply for F1 super license," said Rio's father, Sinyo Haryanto.
Rio has recorded as the first Indonesian driver who managed to get a Formula 1 super license. Now, he is ready for preparation for pushing off to follow the GP2 Hockenheim, Germany.
"Wednesday, Rio will leave from London to Hockeinhem for preparation following the German Grand Prix series GP2 series. Then please support the blessing of salvation given to Rio and hopefully can perform optimally," said Sinyo.
